Into The Woods is a mishmash of various fairy tales including “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Cinderella,” “Rapunzel,” and “Jack and the Beanstalk.” The central storyline involves a Baker (James Corden) and his Wife (Emily Blunt) who discover that they must break a witch’s curse in order to have a child. The Witch (Meryl Streep) in question sends them on a quest to retrieve different ingredients for a mysterious potion she’s making. Along the way, they meet several fairy tale characters.

A witch conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children’s stories.

Originally a Broadway musical written by James Lapine, Into The Woods is being produced by Disney and directed by Rob Marshall. Lapine is adapting the screenplay and Stephen Sondheim, who collaborated with Lapine in writing music for the Broadway version, is composing original songs.

Into The Woods will hit theaters on December 25, 2014.

Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, is based on the science fiction Japanese novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.

Lt. Col. Bill Cage finds himself caught in a time loop after getting killed in battle against an alien race. He meets Rita Vrataski, a soldier who is hailed as a hero, but in actuality had been caught in a time loop just like Cage. With Rita’s help, Cage desperately attempts to change his fate by becoming better skilled.

Edge of Tomorrow is scheduled for release on June 6, 2014.
