‘Sisters’ Trailer Review: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Start The Party

sisters trailer

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are at it again! The hilarious duo will be hitting the big screen this December with their roles in the upcoming comedy Sisters. The trailer shows the mishaps that Maura (Amy Poehler) and Jane (Tina Fey) get themselves into once they find out that their parents are selling their childhood home.

The real life pair of best friends will be playing sisters with very opposite personalities – Fey is the eccentric wild child while Poehler plays the perfectly responsible one. The film follows the disconnected sisters as they come together to clean out their childhood home and decide along the way that they want to recapture their glory days. And what better way to live those days than to throw a massive high-school-style party as their last hoorah?

Scripted by Paula Pell, the comedy was produced by Tina Fey, Jay Roach (Meet the Parents) and John S. Lyons alongside executive producers Jeff Richmond, Brian Bell and Amy Poehler. I can only imagine that the comedy that this group has created will have you laughing until your stomach aches.

Filled with humor, a buzzing soundtrack and the energy that both Fey and Poehler bounce off each other, it’s hard to think that this movie won’t be a hit.

Sisters will party its way into theaters on December 18.
