Amy Poehler and Tina Fey Revisit Their Youth in ‘Sisters’ Trailer

Siblings whose parents are selling their childhood home, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey return home to help clean out their bedrooms but end up creating more mess by throwing a huge party, instead, in the first full-length trailer for Sisters.

Playing an odd couple of sorts, Poehler is the so-called ‘perfect’ sister, Maura, still recovering from her divorce, while Fey steps into a more reckless role as Katie, the less highly-strung and more fun-loving sister — displayed, obviously, by her penchant for leopard print, something of a role reversal from the pair’s last film together, 2008’s Baby Mama.

Throwing one last rager before they have to say goodbye to their childhood and all of the gloriously ’80s decoration that still adorns it, Poehler and Fey are joined by a large comedic cast including love interest Ike Barinholtz (who appears to have smoothly transitioned from his sexless role on The Mindy Project), Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch and yes, WWE star John Cena.

Originally titled The Nest, Sisters is written by veteran Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell and directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect).

Sisters hits theaters December 18, 2015.
