‘iZombie’ Renewed For Season 2

Seems like I’m not the only one hungry for more iZombie

Created by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright and based on the comic book series by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, the CW’s newest sci-fi drama iZombie has very quickly been renewed for a second season.

The show follows Liv Moore (Rose McIver from Once Upon a Time and Masters of Sex) at her job working in the morgue, but there’s a twist. She’s a zombie! (If you didn’t already get that from the title.) By eating the brains of mostly murder victims, she is able to help her cop partner Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) in helping solve the case through the “visions” she gets.

The renewal comes at a really good time because the end of the last episode has me worried. We were left with the knowledge that Ravi (Rahul Kohli), Liv’s co-worker and boss, was bitten by a zombie rat. If Ravi somehow gets turned into a zombie with the small dosage he got through the bite, we won’t know until next week. I’ve got my fingers crossed that he won’t be affected.

If you haven’t already heard it, Sara Linn and I did a podcast on the show’s premiere episode in which we talk about what we liked, didn’t like, and predictions on how the rest of the season would play out. Give it a listen and write some comments and questions you might have. You might be surprised how similar are predictions are to the show so far. We are also planning on doing another podcast after the season finale on June 9.

iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9pm.
