ABC’s New Shows: ‘The Catch’ Starring Mireille Enos

Shonda Rhimes has been on a roll with Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder. Not to mention Grey’s Anatomy which recently had a very shocking season finale. Her upcoming drama The Catch has already been picked up by ABC.

Mireille Enos (The Killing) plays Alice Martin, a woman who catches con artists for a living. The premise of the series reads: “The one woman you don’t mess with just lost everything. Now, it’s time for payback.”

All of Rhimes’ shows explore cheating, extramarital affairs, and betrayal to some degree, and it seems The Catch is no different. Alice’s fiance Kieran (Damon Dayoub) ends up conning her along with his criminal wife Zoe (One Tree Hill‘s Bethany Joy Lenz). The supporting cast also includes Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, Alimi Ballard, Jay Hayden, and Elvy Yost.

The Catch will be a midseason replacement for How To Get Away With Murder when it ends its second season. Check out the official trailer below.

From Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, this thriller centers on the strong, successful Alice Martin (Mireille Enos). She’s a fraud investigator who’s about to be the victim of fraud by her fiancé. Between her cases, she is determined to find him before it ruins her career.
