There’s a new Daredevil teaser.
It’s only 15-seconds long, because apparently the full teaser trailer will premiere online tomorrow.
All 13 hour-long episodes of Daredevil will be released on Netflix on April 10, 2015. It stars Charlie Cox in the titular role, with supporting roles from Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ayelet Zurer, and Vondie Curtis-Hall.
Daredevil will be followed up by A.K.A. Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the character, Jessica Jones was created by Brian Michael Bendis and is a former superhero who opens up her own P.I. firm. The series is rumored to premiere in 2015, but Netflix’s plan is to release each Marvel series a year apart from each other.
David Tennant was recently cast as the series villain, Dr. Zebediah Killgrave, also known as the Purple Man. Mike Colter (The Good Wife), who was cast as Luke Cage, will make an appearance before going off to headline his own series. Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy, 666 Park Avenue) was cast as Jessica’s best friend, Patsy Walker.
Honestly, I’m more excited for A.K.A. Jessica Jones than I am for Daredevil. And I know Daredevil will probably be very good, or — at the very least — it’ll be better than the movie with Ben Affleck (hopefully). But A.K.A. Jessica Jones has a few things going for it: I really like Krysten Ritter, A.K.A. Jessica Jones has a female lead, and I really want to see Luke Cage in action.
