The first trailer for Academy Award winner James Marsh’s British biographical drama The Theory of Everything is here.
The film explores the love story between famous physicist Stephen Hawking, played by Eddie Redmayne (Les Misérables) and his first wife Jane Hawking, played by Felicity Jones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Like Crazy). In the trailer above, you see Hawking in the early stages of ALS, as well.
The Theory of Everything will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and is being distributed by Focus Features starting November 7, 2014. The Theory of Everything is based on Jane Hawking’s book Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen.
Once a healthy, active young man, Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. With his wife Jane (Felicity Jones) fighting tirelessly by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of – time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could ever have dreamed.
