Music Appreciation: Born Ruffians

I’ve discussed my love of this band in previous posts, but I think more needs to be said. While scrolling through Tumblr today, I found a video of a recent live performance by the band’s front man, Luke Lalonde. He doesn’t play with the rest of the band, but he proves that he’s just as good playing alone, in a stripped-down, guitar-only scenario.

Finding this video of course sent me down a research spiral, and I found myself looking up the band’s discography. I had been under the assumption that they were one of those bands that released one album and then disappeared off the face of the earth. How horribly, beautifully wrong I was. They’ve got three albums! How could I have missed that? What is wrong with me and what have I been doing with my life?

While I brainstorm how I’m going to procure this music, I’ll leave you with a couple other songs from the same live set. All of them are criminally under viewed, so watch them, tell your friends about them, and spread knowledge of this band like a disease (actually, please not like that at all, because eww). Enjoy listening!
